Frameless glass fence needs concrete footing
There are two main types of glass fencing – semi-frameless and frameless. While semi-frameless can be installed in nearly anywhere, frameless glass fencing requires appropriate footing under the full length of the fence. The spigots that hold 12mm frameless fencing glass cannot be installed in sand, soft ground or even paving. They need stability that can only be provided by concrete footing. In some cases, an existing concrete, composite or even liquid limestone surface could be enough, but each case needs to be looked at separately.
If your glass fence needs to be installed in a brick-paved area, these bricks could be lifted, a fence footing installed and then the bricks put back to where they were.
If you are planning to install liquid limestone, all you may need to do is to dig a trench 30cm wide by 30cm deep along the fence line, and that could be your footing.
Concrete fence footing needs to be at least 30cm wide by 30cm deep and run along the full length of the fence. Here is a picture of what I mean:

hi do you use 10 or 8 mm glass on s/frameless and what are your mertre rates on both styles, also we have a retaining wall , so do you install angled panels if req
