Shopping around for glass fencing quotes?
We get phone calls every day from people shopping around for glass pool fencing. Most of them don’t really know what is involved in installing a glass fence and they don’t ask enough questions that could help them a good idea what is involved and how much it will really cost them. So, here are a few questions that may be helpful.
Questions to ask when shopping around for a glass pool fencing prices:
- Glass fence price per metre. Ask how much it is for fully frameless or semi-frameless price per meter. (Make sure you know how long is your fence). Ask if there are discounts for longer fences.
- Does the price include the GST? This is a good one. You’ll find that some companies quote the price without the 10% GST, and some include the GST. Make sure you’re aware of that when comparing prices.
- Lead time. Ask how long before your fence can be installed.
- Ask if the company provides glass protective coating, such as Enduroshield.
Some companies will try to sell you frameless glass instead of semi-frameless. Be mindful that frameless glass fence needs appropriate footing along the full length of the fence. If you don’t have it already, it may involve a huge cost that you can avoid by simply going for a semi-framaless fence.

To me it is important to have support after the fence is installed. Who knows, I need to be able to call the same installer and ask him to come and fix a broken gate, when or if it happens. Well done guys.
